Five helicopters and a Canadair arrived from Ciampino in action in Santu Lussurgiu to tame the still active outbreaks of the huge fire that broke out over the weekend in the Nuraghe Oschera area.

The air vehicles intervened to support the teams engaged on the ground, coordinated by the Forestry Corps. On the spot also the men of Forestas and the barracelli.

Santulussurgiu was the most challenging front, but altogether about twenty fires broke out in just a few hours in as many locations in Sardinia.
