Everyone agrees on the moratorium, but it is the instrument chosen - the bill approved by the council which prohibits the installation of renewable energy systems for 18 months - which is not convincing.

In the Regional Council, the majority groups presented a motion proclaiming a day of mobilization, study and proposals on the topic. The first signatory was Salvatore Corrias (Pd), who spoke of «a call to arms to the Sardinians to mobilize in the face of what is announced as a real assault on our island». According to the Dem councillor, "this motion is also a response to the territories that have been mobilizing for some time, to the mayors and committees".

The day of mobilization will be an extraordinary session of the Assembly, «to be evaluated whether it can also be held in Rome in Piazza Montecitorio», we read in the motion. The document commits the Council "to persuade" the Government to modify the so-called Draghi decree, in particular on the point regarding suitable and unsuitable areas.

The opposition has already spoken of a bluff bill. The Fratelli d'Italia group leader Paolo Truzzu claims: «After 68 days of hibernation on the part of the majority, this hyperactivity is surprising with an absolutely new bill and a motion in support, which seems dictated more by propaganda reasons aimed at hiding previous responsibilities than at resolving the real problems in Sardinia. Compared to the propaganda of the moratorium, I believe that the government decree which prohibits the installation of photovoltaic systems on land classified as agricultural by the current urban planning plans will certainly produce more positive results".

According to Lega MP Dario Giagoni, the bill "will certainly be challenged by the Government, the law will certainly be deemed unconstitutional and the citizens who hope to see their territory protected and safeguarded will pay the price."
