The Montiferru committees against wild wind energy are decisively asking for a change of pace from the Regional Council and a clear and clear position on the energy transition and the renewable energy dispute : «Opening, if necessary, an institutional legal clash with Rome».

The Montiferru and S'Arrieddu protection committees, always aligned against ongoing wind and photovoltaic speculation, are wary of the moratorium being discussed in the regional council : «We are very critical of the attitude of this council towards the central government, we perceive a attitude of subordination and subjection. It does not intend to question the Draghi decree, which has taken away the constitutionally recognized powers of Sardinia, but aims to circumvent it through an urban plan: it is a weak strategy with dubious implications that can give rise to disastrous outcomes", they explain.

Criticism of President Todde for her "soft" interaction with the government of Rome : «She intends to start a dispute with the State exclusively for the authorizations already granted but, instead, our statutory autonomy must be firmly asserted; we need to redefine, based on our needs, the minimum but above all the maximum limit of renewable energy production. All ongoing procedures for industrial plants must be suspended and the construction of those already approved must be blocked, including revamping and offshore wind", continue the two committees.

The other fundamental issues at stake concern the strategy on a presumed energy plan and the needs of the island, where more is already produced than consumed: «Is an energy plan being drawn up? Is there a study, or is a documented analysis of our energy needs being developed?".
Other unclear aspects of the regional government's strategy: «The role of methane in the transitional period for Sardinia. The intentions on the Tyrrhenian link and on Terna's operating methods, finally the decommissioning of power plants powered by fossil fuels". Unavoidable questions to which the committees demand a clear and firm answer, before it is too late for the Sardinian environment and landscape: «The common goal is to preserve and enhance this land, therefore there can be no other path other than listening, respect and cooperation with the people of Sardinia".
