«Learning from the press, on August 22, 2023, that there is no money for the reconstruction of the Monte Pino road is not only disconcerting, but represents an aberrant joke . The umpteenth for the citizens who have been forced to suffer enormous hardships for almost ten years ».

Thus the M5s regional councilor Roberto Li Gioi in reference to the reconstruction works of the stretch of road that connects Olbia with Monte Pino, which collapsed in November 2013 after a flood . «Already on 7 June, more than two months after the summit held in the Province - Li Gioi recalls - I had denounced the continuing lack of the technical-economic feasibility project and the related environmental authorizations necessary for the completion of provincial road 38. Nonetheless on the occasion of the meeting with the competent bodies, held on April 3, the designers of the company winning the tender had ensured that the project would be ready in a month".

«As is known, the Province, since 2019, has had 6 and a half million euros financed by the Region for the execution of the work. Therefore I consider it unacceptable and shameful that only now the Province has authorized the drafting of the technical-economic feasibility project of the intervention "in order to avoid further delays in the long-awaited reopening of the road section and to restart the intervention design process" , as can be read in the resolution of the Organization itself on 10 August last. Words that I find intolerable.

"During the meeting of 3 April - continues the councilor - the Gallura mayors present, with the exception of that of Sant'Antonio di Gallura, said no to the solution which would have allowed the reopening of two and a half million euros, already identified the road in a short time, opting for the longest road which provided for a further allocation of 13 million euros».

«If the Province does not produce a shred of project and the definitive economic quantification of the work, it is implausible that the Region commits such a figure. The reality is that while the work under Anas' responsibility is in the pipeline, the Province is still at a standstill and with these declarations is trying to create a smokescreen to hide its certified non-compliances. How is it possible - concludes Li Gioi - to continue trampling on the dignity of citizens in this way? What is hidden behind this evident political will of “not doing”?».
