No waste or illegal. The million-dollar projects financed with Pnrr funds will be monitored by the Guardia di Finanza. This is foreseen in a memorandum of understanding signed this morning in the Town Hall by the mayor of Cagliari Paolo Truzzu and the provincial commander of the Fiamme Gialle Massimiliano Mora.
The "operational core" of the collaboration requires the local authorities to communicate qualified information and news deemed relevant "for the repression of irregularities, frauds and abuses of an economic-financial nature of which they have become aware in the exercise of their monitoring and control functions as addressees or beneficiaries or actuators», reads a note issued by the Viale Diaz command.
The Guardia di Finanza will thus be able to carry out analyzes and insights to effectively direct and strengthen action towards "those subjects and contexts characterized by higher risk, to protect national and EU financial interests, but also prevent potential fraud or other offenses use of resources".
The pact will have value until 31 December 2026. The date by which, according to community agreements, all the works financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan must be completed.
The agreement therefore tends to prevent, rather than repress, any unlawful conduct.
