An entrepreneur from Serrenti who has a business distributing advertising material has ended up in prison.

The financiers of the Sanluri Tenenza have implemented the sentence of the Court of Appeal of Cagliari, which sentenced the man to 5 years in prison for tax crimes.

The investigation started in 2015 after some tax audits and reports of suspicious transactions and brought to light the system that the entrepreneur had set up to evade the claims of Equitalia, which had issued reports against him for a total of approximately one million euros .

The man, helped by family members and other unemployed people, had deliberately sold some company shares and set up 4 srl in the name of nominees to continue his profitable advertising business with the latter. All this while concealing a further 2.8 million euros from the tax authorities, for a total of 540 thousand euros of unpaid VAT.

Furthermore, the military ascertained, it employed 12 collaborators who were not regularly hired.

The sentence of the Court of Appeal also ordered the confiscation of the sum subjected to preventive seizure at the time.

The ancillary sanctions of legal disqualification, during the expiation of the sentence, and perpetual disqualification from public office were also imposed against the entrepreneur.
