Brawl in the Monastir reception center, where migrants who land on the coasts of Southern Sardinia are hosted.

It broke out this evening: for reasons yet to be ascertained, two groups of foreigners first faced off against each other and then went to blows. Kicks, punches and shoves, but not only. even blunt objects, such as knives and bottle shards.

The Police had to intervene on the spot, which managed to quell the fight, but the intervention of the 118 ambulances was also necessary.

Seven people were injured, all of them not seriously. Four were treated on the spot for bruises and swellings, the other three were taken to the Policlinico di Monserrato. Their conditions are not serious, they have suffered injuries and cuts to the head and arms.

The violent quarrel re-proposes the problem of the inadequacy of the center: "The building is unsuitable - reaffirms Mauro Aresu, provincial secretary of the Siap police union - the current procedures relating to direct landings are unsuitable because instead of discouraging them, they feed them".
