A 49-year-old man was convicted by the preliminary hearing judge of the Tempio Tribunal, Alessandro Cossu, for attempted sexual assault and mistreatment of his partner. The events occurred over a long period of time and until September 2023 in a center in Alta Gallura. The sentence imposed is four years and two months in prison.

"Look, I have nothing to lose, first I'll rape you, then I'll kill you and commit suicide": these are the words the man addressed to his partner before a brutal attack.

According to the prosecutor's theory, if it had not been for the intervention of an acquaintance, the woman would have been raped. The most serious episode occurred on September 19, 2023, when the arrest took place. The man, who is still in prison, allegedly attacked his partner in a pub they ran together and attempted to rape her. The victim was then beaten and dragged to the bathroom by her legs. A neighbor intervened, putting an end to the attack. The preliminary hearing judge accepted the requests of the prosecutor and the civil party lawyers, Angela Corda and Lia Deiana.

The man convicted for the alleged violence, defended by the lawyer Francesco Sasso, has always rejected all the accusations of the Tempio Prosecutor's Office.
