The ground gives way and two landslides are creating a dangerous situation for the vehicles in transit along the ex Carlo Felice road, now belonging to the Province, which connects the capital of Marghine with the industrial area of Tossilo, with Borore and above all with the 131 .
The ground collapsed on the sides of the road in the Serigone area, but also on the sides of the Bardosu railway bridge. The danger is signaled only by the signs, positioned by the workers of the Province, which also indicate the speed limit under the railway bridge, while in the Serigone area the danger is signaled only by a red and white ribbon. Nothing more. It is an area of about four kilometers of road, where traffic is intense at all hours. A road, among other things, particularly busy with heavy vehicles and also with public transport.
Just in the area of Serigone the cracks on the asphalt are evident where a landslide has already occurred. In fact, that stretch is supported only by a dry stone wall inside an old vineyard, which rainwater gradually made useless, until it collapsed a few days ago. There is a risk that that part of the roadway will be affected by landslides. The danger that the situation could worsen is real.
The mayor of Macomer, Riccardo Uda, had an interlocution with the commissioner of the Province, Costantino Tidu. «A direct interview - says the mayor - with Commissioner Tidu available for all the needs of the community. For the road to Tossilo, it ensured immediate intervention to secure the section affected by the subsidence. The offices of the Province are already providing». Even the councilor for public works, Aldo Demontis, assured that the Municipality has already started contacts with the offices of the Province. «We are facing the problem - says Demontis - by creating a climate of collaboration with the Province. We have at heart the safety of that road, but also the first stretch towards Nuoro, with the safety of the S'Adde viaduct".
