A silent procession crossed the town to say goodbye to Riccardo Delrio
Thousands of people, also arriving from other areas of the island, accompanied Riccardo Delrio, the motorcyclist from Macomer who was the victim of the tragic accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon on the panoramic Alghero Bosa, on his last journey.
The procession, escorted by a motorcyclist, crossed the town after mass in the church and the churchyard, which was packed to capacity. A silent procession accompanied the coffin to the cemetery. The pain without any more tears of the family, of his wife Loredana, of his daughter Serena, saved with an extreme heroic act by her father in the tragic moment of the accident, his mother Piera, his father Pinuccio and then many and many friends.
The holy mass in the church of San Pantaleo was celebrated by the deputy parish priest Don Marco Saurra, who dedicated comforting words to the family members, and by Don Leonardo Arca. The mayor and council and several city councilors were present at the celebration. During the funeral, the internal streets were closed to traffic and the shutters of the shops were lowered.
