The strong mistral wind , with its gusts approaching 100 kilometers per hour, could be the cause of the breakage of a wind turbine at a renewable energy plant in the industrial area of Macchiareddu.

The blades of one of the large wind towers have broken off and what is left hangs tens of meters high.

The accident, according to what has been learned, took place in an area that can only be reached via unpaved roads and strewn with photovoltaic panels.
