Difficult recovery operations for the firefighters, engaged in the rescue of a forty-five year old who yesterday evening, at sunset, had lost his bearings in a mountain area near the forestry construction site of the locality of Campanasissa, in the territory of the municipality of Siliqua.
After realizing he couldn't find his way back, the man positioned himself on a spire, where he raised the alarm with his smartphone, alerting the rescue team.
The emergency response team of the Iglesias detachment and the speleo-alpine-fluvial team of the Cagliari Fire Department command operations center intervened on site: the operators, with speleo-alpine-fluvial maneuvers and equipment, recovered the man safe and sound. The operations, made difficult by the impervious area, kept the firefighters busy for several hours.
