A case of legionellosis in Cheremule . A woman, originally from Mores, is hospitalized in the intensive care unit, at the clinics in Viale San Pietro di Sassari, in a pharmacological coma. Kept under observation by doctors, the patient affected by the bacterium with symptoms of high fever and difficulty breathing, seems to respond to treatment, although out of caution she waits for her clinical picture to change before dissolving the prognosis.

Initially hospitalized in Ozieri hospital, following the worsening of her health conditions she was transferred to Sassari. The precise causes from which she contracted the infection are not yet known, but as soon as she felt the first symptoms she was accompanied by her family to the emergency room.

The woman was an employee of the company that provides cleaning services in the municipal swimming pool of Cheremule which, for safety reasons, had been closed by the administration led by the mayor Salvatore Masia, after the communication received from the Asl of Sassari and following the inspection carried out by the technicians of the Public Hygiene Service.

Yesterday afternoon the swimming pool was reopened to the public: the results of the analyzes conducted by the local health authority of Sassari did not reveal any correlation between the case of legionellosis and the use of the swimming pool.
