The nose of Black, an anti-drug German shepherd enlisted by the Arma for about 4 years, signaled that something was wrong inside the passenger compartment. He was just wrong: above the roof, in a cavity under the spoiler there were five "pizzas" of cocaine for a total weight of almost 11 kilos.

The discovery of the large quantity of drugs was carried out yesterday by the carabinieri of the Porto Torres mobile radio, engaged in a series of checks in the port.

Their attention was drawn to the maneuvers of a truck that had just landed from Tirrenia arriving from Genoa : the driver, a 49-year-old from Turin, tried to slip away from the column of vehicles leaving the ship, but his moves did not go unnoticed.

The military decided to carry out a search, with the essential help of Black. The cocaine was hidden in the compartment: once cut and placed on the market it would have yielded around 5 million euros. A dagger with a 16.5 cm blade was also found on board. The forty-nine-year-old also received a complaint for carrying objects capable of offending, which is added - obviously - to the arrest for detention for the purpose of drug dealing.

But his troubles aren't over. The military also decided to search his home, where a further 38 grams of hashish, two small doses of cocaine and 2,650 euros in cash were seized. At the end of the ritual formalities, the man was taken to Bancali prison.
