La Maddalena, the protocol for the concession of military areas signed

«Today we are going to sign an important protocol with the Navy, which will allow us to use the five-a-side football, tennis and basketball courts of the former Faravelli barracks for the benefit of local sports associations. They will be redeveloped and made available to both civilians and soldiers, to give a concrete response to the demand for new sports spaces in our territory."
This was declared yesterday, Sunday, by the mayor of La Maddalena, Fabio Lai, who, immediately after, signed the deed, together with the team admiral Giuseppe Perutti Bergotto, deputy chief of staff of the Navy and Dr. . Luca Andreoli, CEO of Difesa Servizi, a company of the Ministry of Defense that deals with valorising non-operational assets that are suitable for dual use. The agreement was signed at the stage of the village built in Piazza Umberto I, on the occasion of the 3rd stage of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour, the sailing Giro d'Italia, which takes place, for the 3rd consecutive time, in the Archipelago- National Park.
There was recently a similar agreement for the use of the football field adjacent to these structures and for an area to be used as a car park. But there was also another important announcement, made by the CEO of Servizi Difesa, namely that "in the near future" an offshore sailing school will be opened in La Maddalena, which will bring a sailing tradition back to Italy which has been somewhat lost over time."
In the evening, the offshore class boats arrived in the tourist port of Cala Balbiano, coming from Sanremo (they will then leave from La Maddalena for Gaeta; the events, after other stops, will end in Venice on 20 July). Today, among the other events planned, there is an evocative football match scheduled at 5pm, and at 7pm the presentation of the book "Logbook 2023"; after the screening of the Italy-Croatia football match on the big screen, there will be music with DJ Set by Isa. Tomorrow 25 June the VIP-Figaro 3 Regatta is scheduled, at 6pm the awards ceremony for the "Gallura Stage", then the Food Space - valorization of local Italian fishermen and from 9pm live music with Ecletica Band.
