«We could open a carpentry shop, the wood also seems good to us». This is the ironic comment of some fishermen from Palau , in reference to the enchanting cove of Lavezzi , one of the splendid islands of the archipelago of La Maddalena , belonging to Corsica.

“When we stopped for a little picnic slightly off the coast - they continue - we couldn't believe our eyes: on the beach there were large logs everywhere , probably lost by transiting timber ships. An unseemly show." But it is above all another fact that worries the fishermen. «Imagine - they specify - if while sailing, with a motorboat or boat, one should come across similar floating trunks. Virtually invisible. It would be a sure accident. It's very dangerous."

In Lavezzi beach, and not only in this one (including the Italian ones), not only wood, but also a lot of plastic , abandoned in the sea by the usual uncivilized people. The Archipelago of La Maddalena has been the scene of fatal accidents in recent days. It is a beautiful sea area but full of pitfalls.
