"We want to relaunch Christmas with a structured program, with different dates and different events, that can interest different age groups". The objective of the delegate Luca Falchi and the councilor Stefania Terrazzoni is very clear. And it is also clear that the program is ambitious and demanding from a financial point of view which, says Terrazzoni, who is also councilor for the Budget, "we will face with administrative surpluses".

The two administrators are not going to dare to name names for the moment: «We will make them official in a few days when the contracts are finalized». What is certain is that by the end of the year, on December 31, they will bring to the big stage in Piazza Umberto I «an artist of national level, who has participated in the Sanremo festival several times and has sold millions of records» .

A musical event, therefore, that can involve not only the islanders and those who will arrive or return to the island during that period but also people from nearby towns.

It starts on the day of the Immaculate Conception, December 8, which falls on a Sunday, with the lighting of the large Christmas Tree in Piazza Garibaldi under which a great show for children is planned. The host, says Luca Falchi, «will be a personality who has a significant following on social media, on national and international platforms, very popular among children, from nursery school to primary school». Another important event will be organized on December 21 or 23 or 27; «we will bring to La Maddalena a big name in youth music, rap or trap. We are talking about artists who have millions of monthly plays on the platforms. It will not be an emerging artist but someone who is already important». He will perform in Piazza Umberto I where local youth groups will be involved. Other events, from December 8th to Epiphany, will be organized on weekends, by associations, committees and groups, in the large covered central space of the Civic Market and in the Municipal Atrium: from the Christmas Market to some concerts of choirs, bands and bands (youth and not), to shows, workshops and games for children.

"There will be a close collaboration with local committees, associations and artists - concludes Stefania Terrazzoni - with whom a calendar will be created that will also make us rediscover the sense of community, that will bring out the best, in the various sectors, of us Maddalenini".
