Cagliari is among the regional capitals most affected by inflation. It means that prices are rising more than elsewhere, with the same salaries, and its inhabitants have become impoverished.

This was revealed by Istat data for July, summarized by RadioCor: consumer goods in the first city of the island cost 8.1% more than in the same month of 2021 (trend change) and 0.6% more if the comparison is with June 2022 (cyclical change).

According to the tables, it was worse in Trento, where consumers spent 9.2% more than last year. Only Trieste (+ 8.6%) and Bologna follow on par with Perugia (+ 8.5%).

In all the other capitals the price rush was slower than in Cagliari. Where there is a positive note: the increases seem to have slowed down, in January the growth compared to the previous month was 1.4%. It is now at 0.6%.
