The State Police arrested a 38-year-old resident of Villasor, on charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
The agents of the "Sardinia" Crime Prevention Department of the Cagliari Police Headquarters noticed him in the car during a checkpoint in Viale Armando Diaz and ordered him to stop.
But the 38-year-old, instead of stopping, accelerated and tried to escape at high speed , getting rid of a bag containing one and a half hectograms of marijuana .
The man's escape ended shortly afterwards in via Bottego, where the officers managed to stop him . At that point the search of his home also began, where an electronic scale and other useful material for packaging the doses were found.
The 38-year-old was thus arrested and reported for unjustified possession of two switchblade knives, which he kept inside a bag.
The investigating judge, during the subsequent hearing, validated the arrest, without however applying any precautionary measures.
