When fashion meets painting, and music accompanies its beat, something extraordinary happens. On May 24, on the occasion of Monumenti aperti, at 6:30 pm, the Teatro Si e Boi in Selargius will transform into a true artistic forge to host Cultural Confluence – The meeting between Fashion, painting and music, an event created to shake the senses and reawaken the imagination.
The result of a collaboration between the collective Artisti di Sardegna and Art Touch, the art services agency led by Ileana Piga, the initiative celebrates the power of artistic transformation in all its forms. The protagonist? A simple tailored garment.
Taking center stage will be Francesco Maggiolini, a young fashion designer who has decided to give a second life to forgotten fabrics and waste materials , transforming them into a handcrafted kimono destined to become a living work of art. No longer just a dress, but a pulsating canvas, ready to receive the creative touch of Mario Denotti, a visionary artist known for his pictorial incursions into murals and distant travels.
In front of the eyes of the audience, the dress will transform : a live pictorial performance in which the body, the color and the fabric will dialogue like instruments of an orchestra. In this synaesthetic scenario, the Nam Music School also enters the scene, with a musical performance performed by young talents: the notes will merge with the brush strokes, marking the rhythm of the creative metamorphosis.
At the centre of the evening, the work “Sardinian elegance among Japanese cherry trees”, a painted kimono that combines the sobriety and symbolism of traditional Japanese clothing with Sardinian roots .
