Treasures of the earth to be preserved and that preserve the charm of history. In Ossi, an appointment with mineralogy, a collection of Carlo Ventacoli, who passed away in 1990 at the age of 57.

The initiative is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 18 January with the official inauguration of the exhibition at 5:30 pm, at the town hall.

In the permanent exhibition set up at the entrance of the Municipality of Ossi, a beautiful collection of 1486 specimens of minerals and fossils from all over the world. The Ventacoli family has decided to donate this important heritage to our entire community.

From the age of 16 to 25, Carlo Ventacoli, originally from Padria, worked in the navy, while from 1949 to 1958 he worked in the Cement factory quarry. His passion for minerals began in the 1970s, starting a meticulous collection of thousands of specimens, recording and cataloging them with great dedication and patience. To create the eight display cases, meticulous work was done in creating and digitally uploading the data.
