First a dip in the water - the temperature touched thirty degrees centigrade and the beach filled with umbrellas - then a squeeze of juice in Piazza Colombo . This is how the first edition of the Costa Rei Citrus Festival began this morning, between sun, music and tastings, an appendix of the 51st Festival held in Muravera from 24 to 27 April. A festival, that of Costa Rei, that will continue until Sunday.

In Piazza Colombo – the venue of the event – the main attraction, in addition to the oranges (and glimpses of daily life from the past) served by the La Forgia Association and the stands, were the numerous local bands that took to the stage one after the other. Bands that will continue until the 23rd.

Tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday, still lots of music, folklore and tastings with show-cooking based, obviously, on orange. An event organized by the Municipality and the Costa Rei Natural Shopping Center (with the collaboration of the Pro Loco and the associations) that could lay the foundations for Costa Rei to fill up with tourists every year starting from the beginning of May. All the conditions are there.
