There is an unprinted map that is in the mind of every person in a state of serious marginalization, homeless, elderly people without a protection network and people with disabilities. In short, people who are most at risk and fragile. A map containing the addresses of low-threshold care facilities, the addresses of all the free canteens . From next Monday this "mental map" will expand because the Municipality of Cagliari has created Estate Solidale, the program of initiatives aimed at vulnerable people for the summer period .

"The objective of the administration is that Cagliari is the city of everyone and that no one is left out ", explains the councilor for Health and well-being of citizens and social policies Anna Puddu . «With this initiative», he adds, «we integrate an offer already programmed by the Social Policies service but which has an even more important value in this summer period. High temperatures, which the Ministry of Health has also paid attention to, can create negative effects on everyone but in particular on particularly vulnerable people. This is why, starting from 22 July and until 20 September, we will intensify the department's action to provide greater answers to that part of citizens who see their difficulties increase in the summer ."

Among the new features: an extension of reception hours in low-threshold care facilities, the increase in beds to be allocated to people in need, the activation of a telephone help desk managed by professionals (070.0933671 from 9 to 12 and from 3pm to 7pm, every day starting from July 22nd). «We invite citizens not to leave home during the most risky time slots and to follow the instructions provided by the Ministry which the Municipality has made its own. We will do our part to try to help everyone because we want Cagliari to be more human, closer to the citizens and above all close to the most fragile subjects ."
