Healthcare Denied, Sulcis Anger Returns to the Streets

The socio-health conference that this afternoon saw the mayors of Sulcis Iglesiente meet in Carbonia, with the regional health councilor Armando Bartolazzi, gave hundreds of citizens the opportunity to demonstrate for the umpteenth time against a health system that is not capable of managing the thousand emergencies of a territory already on its knees.

The meeting was set for early afternoon and already an hour before the arrival of the administrators a large group of protesters had formed with banners and trumpets who sang protest chants.

Many dramatic stories emerged during the sit-in, stories of people who some time ago participated in the health march, starting from Sulcis and ending at the Regional buildings: yet another protest event that was followed by promises that were not kept.
