It is a royal porcini from the "Guinness Book of Records" found by Giovanni Maria Pischedda and his son Salvatore in the countryside of Luras.

It was the fourteen-year-old Salvatore who, given its size, had mistaken it for a large smooth boulder to find the mushroom, about three kilos of record weight , only to then realize that he had stumbled upon a very precious specimen of porcini mushroom.

An extraordinary event due to the rains recorded with high frequency, which are fueling the growth of fresh and spontaneous mushrooms throughout the Gallura area, and which has led the Gallura local health authority to reopen the doors of the Mycological Inspectorate to the public, usually operating from October to March."
