Gigantic fire between Posada and Siniscola: roads closed, Canadairs arrive

Maximum emergency in Baronia due to a gigantic fire that started from the territory of Posada, in the Abba locality, which pushed by the strong mistral wind with gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour, went as far as Siniscola.

The 131 DCN has been closed towards Nuoro for those traveling from Olbia, while traffic difficulties are also recorded along the 125 near La Caletta: the seaside resort is enveloped in a thick blanket of smoke and ash which makes the air almost unbreathable. Evacuation procedures are not excluded.

Some Canadairs are converging on the area to support the helicopters of the regional firefighting service.

The thick column of smoke is visible from all beaches in the area.
