Giba, suspicious death of a 55 year old: beating hypothesis

There could be a beating behind the death of Matteo Usai, 55 years old from Giba, who passed away on Saturday after a hospital stay of less than twenty days.

The public prosecutor on duty, the deputy prosecutor Nicola Giua Marassi, having heard the news of the death, ordered the seizure of the body and, in the next few hours, the task of a forensic doctor could already be assigned to carry out the autopsy. The hypothesis is that of manslaughter.

The funeral should have been held yesterday at 5pm in the church of San Pietro Apostolo in Giba, so much so that the family had already had posters printed with the indication and time of the funeral. But in the end the order came from the Prosecutor's Office to lock the body in the hospital mortuary, so as to allow the technical assessment to be carried out in the next few days.
