The 53-year-old worker from Gairo who was involved in an accident at work in the Sarcerei forestry construction site is hospitalized in the Neurosurgery department of the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari AC. The doctors reserved their prognosis.
The worker, who at the time of the accident was wearing the appropriate equipment and all personal protective equipment, was transported to hospital aboard Echo Lima 3, the Areus helicopter which took off from the Elmas base.
In addition to the 118 crew, the carabinieri from the Jerzu company and the staff of the Spresal (Service for prevention and safety in the workplace) of the Ogliastra local health authority also arrived in Sarcerei.
The technicians will have the task of verifying whether the safety protocols have been respected during the welding activity.
