The body of Aldo Ferraris, 57, victim of the accident on the Sardinian New East, was transferred to the morgue of the cemetery of Castiadas. The man, who dealt with credit recovery, was originally from Vigevano but resided in Villaputzu.

He was traveling with a Kia and was headed to Porto Corallo in the company of a 42-year-old from Milan: their car flew into the lane opposite to the exit from a tunnel, crashing into a Fiat Panda that was traveling towards Cagliari and was driven by a 60-year-old from Barisardo, with his 59-year-old wife on board. The clash was terrible with Ferraris dead on the spot.

The woman who was traveling with him was taken to hospital with the helicopter rescue: she is hospitalized with a reserved prognosis. Barisardo's spouses were accompanied to the Policlinico di Monserrato. Their conditions are of no concern.

The legal findings were carried out by the Carabinieri of Castiadas and the radio-mobile unit of San Vito, coordinated by Lieutenant Giorgio Ghiani. The San Vito fire brigade and the Anas workers were also on site, who restored the road to safety before the reopening ordered by Anas.

A few hours earlier, 400 meters away, another car flew onto the guard rail. The driver was unharmed. The Carabinieri of Castiadas and San Vito also intervened in the circumstance.
