For nine years without a regular salary and with many unknowns about the future. This is the situation in which the workers of the RSA di Flumini Monsignor Angioni find themselves, managed by the religious congregation Suore Figlie di Maria Santissima Madre della Divina Provvidenza e del Buon Pastore. The report was made by Fials, the Italian Federation of Local Authorities and Health, with a note signed by the territorial secretary Giampaolo Cugliara who asks the competent authorities for immediate intervention to put an end to a condition defined as "intolerable". The responsibility for the delays in salaries, according to what was reported by the facility, would be attributable to the lack of punctuality in payments by Ares Sardegna.

The problem, known to employees and unions, concerns the monthly payment of salaries, which for nine years has been made in installments, late and in a manner "not compliant with the contract". According to the union, the management of the RSA initially justified the measure as temporary, communicating that "for "a few months", in the face of contingent economic difficulties" the workers "would receive their monthly salary divided into two installments - 70% by the 10th of the month and the remaining 30% by the 20th, in violation of the contractual provisions". But, after almost 10 years, the RSA "has not yet restored the payment of salaries as provided for by current legislation but this situation still persists, further worsened because more and more often the advance payment is not received by workers before the twentieth day of the month".

"Despite everything, the workers have never failed to provide care to the patients of the RSA", highlights Fials, which is asking for an intervention to restore the punctual payment of salaries in a single solution, as foreseen by the contract , within the tenth day of each month.
