Fire in Quartu: a house destroyed, a family on the run, an injured person and a dog saved

The fire that devastated two hectares of scrubland in Quartu near Via Giotto, close to the cemetery, was put out with moments of great fear.

A house was completely destroyed by the flames, In another house a dog was rescued that remained trapped inside. One of the owners in the circumstance suffered a cut wound to an arm: rescued by the volunteers of the Nos and the firefighters he was then transported to the hospital.

Investigations are now underway to verify the nature of the fire and to trace any responsibilities. The fire broke out around 4:30 p.m., with immediate arrival of the Nos volunteers and then the Fire Brigade: around 7:30 p.m. the fire was contained and extinguished.
