Flames last night in via Copenaghen in Sassari, Monserrato district. Around 1:45 a fire broke out, perhaps due to a short circuit in the kitchen, on the sixth floor of a building on the street, trapping a couple.

It was the woman who raised the alarm and the firefighters arrived on the scene quickly and saved the man and the woman but were unable to do anything for the dog, who died of suffocation.

The rescue was complicated by the presence of numerous cars parked at the scene of the fire. The two people were taken to the emergency room with minor burns and the beginning of intoxication.

The Carabinieri of the Sassari mobile radio unit and 118 also arrived in via Copenaghen . The apartment was declared uninhabitable.
