The law created to combat bullying and cyberbullying was unanimously approved this morning by the Regional Council.

As explained in the classroom by the reporters Andrea Piras (Lega) and Piero Comandini (Pd) , it is a legislative instrument aimed at financially supporting the bodies and institutions committed to stemming the ever stronger emergency especially among adolescents.

The text reinforces the national regulation of 2017 and makes available to the Region a total of 900 thousand euros for the three-year period 2022-25 (300 thousand a year) for contributions to schools, municipalities, companies of the regional health service, third sector, amateur sports associations, juvenile penal institutions and freelance pedagogists and psychologists.

The goal is to create information campaigns and training courses to raise awareness on the gravity and consequences of bullying and cyberbullying and on the conscious and responsible use of the web and social media.

Also included in the forecast are projects of a cultural, social, recreational and sporting nature of education to legality, respect for diversity, with particular regard to choices of a sexual nature and education to affectivity.

And there are also incentives for psychological and pedagogical support actions in favor of young victims, for the recovery of authors and spectators and for the support of their families through competent professional figures.

Schools are expected to set up listening desks for students and, in the health sector, multidisciplinary teams specialized in the prevention, treatment and recovery of victims, perpetrators and spectators of bullying and cyberbullying acts.
