The Carabinieri of the Tempio Company showed up at the offices of the Municipality of the Gallura town for a series of activities ordered by the PM Sara Martino, the magistrate in charge of the investigations into the tragic death of Omar Masia .

The 25-year-old man died on Sunday, October 26, from serious injuries sustained in an accident on the road connecting Tempio to the towns of Baldu and L'Agnata . The car in which the victim was traveling flew off a ten-meter-high bridge and crashed into a stream bed.

According to reports, the Carabinieri personnel acquired documentation on the road and the bridge, with the aim of establishing responsibilities for maintenance and implementation of safety and protection measures. The bridge was not marked in any way despite its height and lacked a standard guardrail .

At this point , the case for road homicide has only one person under investigation: the young man who was driving the BMW involved in the tragedy . However, at this point , the involvement of other individuals cannot be ruled out ; the road is a joint venture, while the bridge is part of the public water system (Regional and State property).

Next Friday, engineer Giovanni Lippi will be assigned the task of carrying out a technical assessment of the accident dynamics (vehicle speed) and the characteristics of the Baldu bridge and the guard rail. The investigations were requested by the defendant's defense attorneys, criminal lawyers Giovanni Azzena and Gerolamo Orecchioni.
