There are two suspects in the investigation into the death of Mauro Antonio Carai, the 74-year-old from Orune stabbed to death last August 28 in the country's countryside. These are the 51-year-old twins Giuseppe and Mauro Contena, grazing neighbors of the victim.

The investigating judge of Nuoro Teresa Castagna has given the task to the Ris of Cagliari to analyze the traces of blood found not only at the crime scene but also on the car and other objects seized in the fold and in the house of the suspects.

Carai's body, lying in a pool of blood, was next to his car a few hundred meters from Highway 389. The investigators had immediately followed the track of the impetuous murder, perhaps for a sudden discussion with someone, without however excluding other hypotheses or circumstances.
