Fabio Rappo, founder and sole director of the Viridea Garden Center chain which has 10 stores in Lombardy, Piedmont and Veneto, died suddenly in Sardinia.

He was on vacation on the island when he had a heart attack.

Born in Milan in 1961, a gardener by vocation, at the age of 22 he opened his first company, Rappo srl, which still today deals with the design and construction of green spaces. In 1997 from this experience Viridea was born in Cusago, the first Garden Center of the chain, "for passion" explained the founder in an interview on the occasion of the twenty years of activity.

The company has grown to 10 stores and a turnover of 83.6 million euros. The talent of its founder has made Viridea today a leader in the Italian gardening sector.
