The Fiamme Gialle of Cagliari said goodbye to Demon, a Belgian shepherd specialized in drug detection. After 7 years of life alongside the chosen constable Lorenzo Cadelano, he passed away in a few days due to an incurable disease .

Born in 2018, after a training period in Castiglione del Lago (Perugia), he became a drug-sniffing dog and created an unbreakable bond with his handler.

Not only a faithful ally of the Gdf, Demon was also a well-known figure at the port, at the airport and on the streets of Cagliari. And often even other police forces asked for his help, recognizing the quality of his instinct.

Some of the most important results: the discovery of 6 kilos of cocaine in a false bottom hidden in a car in September 2022; in November of the same year he identified a kilo of heroin ingested by a Nigerian who landed at Elmas airport .

Not just drugs. Last September, for example, he entertained and intrigued the children hospitalized at Brotzu, demonstrating his skills in a splendid demonstration.
