Work on the SS 195 near Cagliari: two-month restrictions are underway. Starting Wednesday, September 30, the SS 195 "Sulcitana" state road will be affected by work to replace the central "New Jersey" barriers on the four-lane stretch near Cagliari .

The work is a continuation of the previous interventions, completed on July 24th, which involved two kilometers of road near the coast. This new phase involves the installation of an additional two kilometers of barriers, which, depending on the progress of the construction, will result in the narrowing of both lanes and the closure of the overtaking lanes. The work is expected to last approximately two months.

The interventions are part of a broader maintenance plan for the 'New Jersey' barriers, worth a total of 15 million euros, which will successively concern the sections of state roads 131 “Carlo Felice”, 130 “Iglesiente” and 195 Racc near Cagliari.

The new latest-generation concrete barrier, designed and patented by Anas, called Ndba (National Dynamic Barrier Anas) , is 1.20 metres high and is able to correctly absorb impacts and minimise the invasion of vehicles into the oncoming lane , guaranteeing effectiveness even in the event of two collisions in rapid succession.
