Yesterday she expressed the feeling of "having been made fun of". Today Alessandra Todde feels combative against the speculation on wind and photovoltaic energy taking place in Sardinia. She says she is ready to go against the Government and says: "I'm not afraid of China."

The President of the Region addressed the topic of energy on the microphones of "L'Attimo Fuggente", hosted by Luca Telese and Giuliano Guida Bardi on the Giornale Radio FM.

«What is happening in Sardinia is pure speculation. We have no say in the matter from a landscape and urban planning point of view. My majority and I are absolutely in favor of the ecological transition, but we want to decide how and where to put wind turbines and photovoltaics", said Todde.

In Sardinia there is a request for authorizations for wind and photovoltaic plants which, if built, would produce a quantity of energy 10 times higher than the threshold required by the State and Europe on renewable sources. “It is even more incredible that all these projects could not even be exported,” Todde underlined, “because even considering all the infrastructure that is being built, it would not be enough to bring out the entire amount of energy.”

The government, claims the president, «must demonstrate with facts that it wants to collaborate by accepting our requests on authorizations. We will never be fooled again", Meanwhile , "none of our requests have been taken into consideration, except in a small part. Enough is enough, you have to listen to us", he added.

Attention was also focused on the giant photovoltaic system that the Chinese want to build on a thousand hectares in Nurra: «I'm not afraid of China», said Todde, «I will defend the prerogatives of the Sardinians. Don't let the government dare put us in these conditions, don't dare leave us without rules with their delays, because if there are no rules we will make them. We will fight our fight."

It is not acceptable "to sacrifice 1000 hectares of agricultural land, even with PGI and PDO production, to create agrivoltaics that we will not exploit, but rather a foreign government", he added, "the situation has gotten out of hand, we will fight together with the committees created spontaneously and to citizens who have no intention of bowing their heads. Not gonna happen".
