A carabinieri car rammed, two soldiers injured and the discovery of a bag containing weapons and a balaclava. It happened last night on state road 130 in Elmas: there is still no trace of the fleeing car after the criminals, who were perhaps preparing a robbery or carrying what was needed to carry it out, overwhelmed the carabinieri patrol from the Sarroch station.

The soldiers of the Cagliari company and colleagues from the provincial unit are working on the serious episode.

The incident occurred around midnight. A patrol from Sarroch station headed to Elmas was rammed, perhaps accidentally, by a car traveling at high speed. The military could do nothing except raise the alarm. They were then rescued and taken to the Brotzu hospital by 118 personnel. Luckily they did not suffer any serious injuries.

Company colleagues arrived on site. A bag was then found in the area abandoned by the people who were in the getaway car after the accident. Inside, although the investigators maintain a strict confidentiality, it seems there were two rifles, ammunition and balaclava. The military is working on this discovery and the accident under the close coordination of the Prosecutor's Office.

The police are apparently looking for a large car, probably a dark station wagon, damaged in the left rear. If anyone has useful information, they can contact 112.
