He beat his partner and, as he was driving away, he encountered a Carabinieri patrol who ordered him to stop . Instead of stopping, he stepped on the accelerator: a chase ensued that continued for several kilometers, from Villa San Pietro to Pula, which ended with his arrest.

The tense night began with a report to the Carabinieri in Pula regarding a drunk man driving around the streets of Villa San Pietro.

After hearing loud noises from afar, the officers saw a car approaching at high speed and ordered it to stop. The driver, instead of stopping, ignored the Carabinieri's orders and accelerated sharply. From there, a chase ensued for several kilometers along the roads leading to Pula, where the Carabinieri finally managed to block the fugitive's path and arrest him.

Once he got out of the vehicle, the man, a thirty-two-year-old of Tunisian origin, immediately appeared drunk. He attacked the officers, who brought him to his senses. They then reconstructed his last hours. They discovered that, shortly before encountering the patrol, the thirty-two-year-old had attacked his partner, forcing her to seek medical attention.

The man was arrested on charges of resisting a public official, a charge that could be aggravated if the woman decides to file a complaint.
