A man living in Villa San Pietro was arrested for drug trafficking and possession of illegal weapons following an investigation conducted by Forestry Corps personnel from the Pula station.

Given the absence of a criminal record, the investigating judge of the Cagliari Court, Marco Mascia, ordered the suspect placed under house arrest with an electronic bracelet.

The investigation began in May 2024 with the arrest of a Sarroch man for drug cultivation and cocaine trafficking; 500 grams were found. During the same search, weapons, ammunition, and devices for illegal animal capture were seized.

The investigations led to the discovery of further drug dealing and illegal arms trafficking for the purpose of poaching.

Today's arrest is the third in the same investigation; five suspects are also at large.

The crimes charged are carrying and possession of clandestine weapons, possession and dealing of cocaine, and poaching.
