Drug trafficking, former regional councilor Giovanni Satta sentenced to eight years and six months

The Tempio court, presided over by Caterina Interlandi, sentenced the former mayor of Buddusò and former regional councilor Giovanni Satta to eight years and six months in prison.
Satta was found responsible for criminal association aimed at drug trafficking. According to the Cagliari DDA, he was linked to two Albanian drug trafficking organizations.
Simone Canu from Olbia was convicted of the same crimes and sentenced to seven years and six months in prison.
"An unexpected sentence, now we will evaluate for the appeal", the hot comment of Satta's defenders, Angelo Merlini and Donatella Corronciu.
