Drink responsibly, in Cagliari the initiative that has already involved 4 thousand students

“Responsibility in Education” , the education program for moderate and responsible alcohol consumption, is also coming to Sardinia.

The initiative, promoted by the Birra Moretti Foundation to train students in the 5th year of hotel management schools, sees the participation of the “Domenico Alberto Azuni” Institute of Cagliari on the Island.

In view of the 2024-25 school year, training was held in September for teachers who will teach future “out-of-home” professionals the importance of responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages .

Since its launch in 2022, the project has involved over 4,000 students from 31 high schools in Lombardy, Puglia, Lazio and Sicily and obtained institutional support, through sponsorships and institutional presence during training sessions.

Conceived and promoted by Fondazione Birra Moretti, “Responsibility in Education” is created in partnership with ASPI (Associazione Sommellerie Professionale Italiana), NoidiSala and FUTURELY, the digital orientation platform with over 20 thousand active students that aims to guide young people in their school and university choices with the support of experts.

For Paolo Merlin, Director of the Birra Moretti Foundation : «Since the project began in 2022, our goal has been to educate the new generations of Ho.Re.Ca professionals, future ambassadors of food education, about responsible consumption . The numbers achieved by the program in these school years, accompanied by the growing interest from institutes and teachers, mark an important milestone and confirm that we are on the right path, in fact we believe that education is an important and powerful tool. From the beginning we have been pursuing this path with authoritative partners such as ASPI and Noi di Sala, who help us to communicate with the kids with a “peer to peer” language».
