Dragged by a lawnmower: this is how an elderly man died in the Quartucciu countryside.

He turned on the ride-on mower, got caught in it, and was dragged for several meters by the vehicle, suffering fatal injuries.

A ninety-three-year-old man from Quartese died like this, on an uncultivated piece of land he owned in the countryside of Sant'Isidoro (Quartucciu) : unfortunately the dynamics of the accident left him no escape, causing his death.

The reconstruction of the accident was carried out by the Carabinieri of the temporary Flumini station, alerted yesterday evening by the elderly man's family after the discovery of the body. Emergency workers also responded to the scene and, based on the condition of the body and initial observations of its state of decomposition, hypothesized that the tragic event may have occurred several days before the discovery.
