While the Civil Protection has extended the yellow alert in Sardinia until midnight tomorrow, some countries are already on alert.

Abundant rains in the Nuoro area and in particular in Dorgali , a center under close observation where it has been raining non-stop since this morning: 100 millimeters of water fallen in the day , so far it is the country in the worst conditions on the island.

The situation is currently under control, but the mayor Angela Testone has issued a statement to invite her fellow citizens to be careful.

Particularly worrying is the very high level reached by the Cedrino river , but not only. Critical situation also in some roads: a lot of rain has fallen on the ring road downstream of the town and along the tunnel that leads from Dorgali to Cala Gonone , where the Anas technicians intervened as a preventive measure to free a channel swollen with water at the inside the tunnel.

Civil Protection is monitoring the situation minute by minute.

“All citizens are invited to avoid passages in subways and underpasses as they could flood suddenly – reads the mayor's notice -. Furthermore, it is advisable to moderate the speed of the vehicles due to the reduced visibility and the road surface made slippery by the rain. Stop on the pitch or in a safe place during the most intense phases of the event».

Meanwhile , the fire brigade intervened on the road that leads from Nuoro to Mount Ortobene, clearing the roadway of some fallen branches and some stones rolled from the ridges .
