They would have carried out a systematic work of dossier and pressure, including defamation, slander and threats with anonymous letters containing bullets, against the highest leaders of the Sardinian Financial Police.

Eleven financiers, including the regional councilor Valerio De Giorgi and the councilor of Assemini, Antonio Guerrieri , are under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office of Cagliari and the military one of Rome for serious crimes.

Once the investigation was completed, eight soldiers were charged with criminal conspiracy aimed at influencing the autonomy of the island's top officials . In addition to Guerrieri and De Giorgi, the financiers Michele Sandokan Ortodosso, Daniel Vacca, Enrico Raimondi, Francesco Vitetti, Davide Giacalone and Sergio Cavoli also ended up in the register of suspects with the most serious hypotheses.

They would have come together to influence the decisions and authority of General Gioacchino Angeloni (until September 2022 Regional Commander of Finance in Sardinia), of General Patrizio Vezzoli (provincial commander), of Colonel Giancarlo Sulsenti (chief of staff of the Sardinia command) , as well as Colonel Vittorio Capriello, commander of the Economic and Financial Police Unit of Cagliari.

All are also accused of having promoted De Giorgi's candidacy for the regional elections within the military community (already on trial for corruption and attempted fraud), so as to strengthen his influence on his hierarchical superiors.

The soldiers Davide Giacalone, Sergio Cavoli, Andrea Taurasi, Marco Sireus and Furio Casini also ended up in trouble with other crimes.
