Initiatives in memory of Gigi Riva are multiplying throughout the regional territory. To pay homage to the memory of the rossoblù champion, absolute protagonist of the 1970 scudetto epic, Dolianova dedicated a graffiti to him which since yesterday has appeared on the shutter of Gino Pacitto's newsstand in the central square of the town.

It was created by Ivo Pittiu, 25 years old , a young hairdresser with a passion for drawing. The graffiti created with spray cans portrays the spectacular overhead kick goal scored by Riva at the “Romeo Menti” stadium in Vicenza on 18 January 1970, a decisive victory for winning the legendary championship. «I was the one who proposed it to the newsagent, he welcomed the idea with enthusiasm – says Pittiu – I have had a passion for drawing since I was a child, I am happy that someone gave me this opportunity to express myself in a public place. I would like to continue doing so by giving color to some unused space in our country."

A tribute to Riva welcomed with great favor by the community very attached to the rossoblù myth: «Many have complimented – says the owner of the newsstand Gino Pacitto – soon other drawings will be made on the side shutters, one will still be dedicated to Riva and the others to the traditional masks of the Sardinian carnival".
