Cases of Covid are decreasing in Sardinia, but patients admitted to therapy in the medical area are increasing and victims are returning to register. Two in the last 24 hours, which bring the total deaths caused by the pandemic in Sardinia to 1,700. The regional positivity rate remains stable at 1.6%.

“In Sardinia today there are 80 further confirmed cases of COVID positivity (yesterday 133, ed), on the basis of 816 people tested. A total of 4983 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic.
There are 11 patients admitted to intensive care units (two fewer than yesterday).
There are 82 patients admitted to the medical area (five more than yesterday).
2983 are the cases of home isolation (fifteen fewer than yesterday).
There are two deaths (yesterday no victims, ed): a 53-year-old man residing in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari and a 61-year-old man, who died in the province of Sassari, but residing in the Netherlands ”.
At the regional level, the 80 new cases are divided as follows: Cagliari 15, Sassari 11, South Sardinia 17, Nuoro 33, Oristano 4.
Exactly one year ago - on 6 December 2020 - in the island there were 293 new infections and seven deaths in the 24 hours, while there were 64 hospitalized in intensive care ( All data ).
