Covid, Iss: incidence in Sardinia among the lowest in Italy
The pressure on intensive care is still high
Improve the epidemiological curve of Covid-19 in Sardinia .
According to the weekly monitoring by Iss-Ministry of Health on the progress of the epidemic on the island, the new cases per 100 thousand inhabitants go from 196.4 in the week from 26 August to 1 September, to 157.9 in the period 2-8 September , to reach 135.7 cases between 9 and 15 September , while the Italian average stands at 186 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants .
The figure is among the lowest in the country, third only after Puglia - with 128.1 - and Sicily (130.3 per 100 thousand inhabitants).
On the other hand, the situation is different in hospitals and in particular in intensive care where Sardinia is assigned the negative record : 3.4% occupancy of beds by Covid patients. The figure , in fact, is the highest in Italy where the average is 1.4%.
It is better in the medical departments : 4.4% compared to the Italian average of 5.7%.
